A Child's Place

Welcome to A Child's Place Montessori

Waldorf and Montessori Inspired Preschool, Kindergarten and Elementary

Education and Activities offered in the Early Preschool | Preschool Classes

  1. A Montessori environment with beautifully designed classrooms and age-appropriate materials and activities that can be done independently or with friends. These activities promote both cognitive and impressionistic learning, build fine and gross motor skills, set a foundation for school readiness, develop and extend attention span and enable children to investigate and gain a sense of agency as they act on the environment. The Montessori structure fosters independence and a love of learning as well as becoming part of a meaningful community.

  2. Waldorf inspired activities satisfy the young child's desire for imaginary play and creative process. The children will experience nature and seasonal oral stories with the use of simple yet beautiful handmade props, lively circle time songs and movement, seasonal art and craft projects as well as seasonal celebrations. The Waldorf activities are designed to integrate sensory activities and experience, by heightening attention to detail and active participation in activities that promote calmness and beauty.
