A Childs Place Montessori Summer Camps
This exciting camp leaves no time to get bored. Every day is spent at a new destination(or revisiting favorite ones). Fort exploring, beachcombing, hiking. Back to nature to keep safe this summer.
Children have the opportunity to expand their horizons during the summer, embarking on new adventures, and having fun! Our exceptional program and staff create an environment that forges lifelong friendships among our children. We create a summer experience that is unforgettable!
Activities for this summer which will be integrated into the curriculum will include:
Drawing and Still Life Painting - The students will spend some of their time learning to draw. They will use fruits, flowers, everyday items, and special objects to learn how to paint still life.
Math Games - Whoever said math isn't fun has never played all the great games we're playing this summer! Students of all abilities will increase their skills in computation, geometry, algebra, and probability while having a fantastic time playing new games with friends. STEM activities each week.
Geocaching - We will use our Global Positioning System receiver(GPS) to find hidden contains(caches) all over Kitsap County. We will hide our own caches for others to seek.
Word Games - We'll play word games with summer to strengthen our spelling, strategy, and dictionary skills. Students of all skill levels are welcome. We will play Quidler, Boggle, Bananagrams, and learn special techniques to defeat grown-ups! There will be plenty of friendly competition, fast-paced action, and, of course, lots of fun!
First Aid and Safety - The students will learn basic first aid and what to do in different emergency situations.
Hiking and Playing - We'll spend time learning some hiking survival skills, visiting safe outdoor parks, beaches, and getting back to nature.
This camp is designed to help children become self-sufficient and transition from childcare to self-care. Nutrition and snack planning will be part of the daily routine.
